We are excited to announce this 2023/2024 Hockey Season will be the start of our Comox Valley Lightning. This season we will be offering these Female teams in the U9, U11, and U13 Divisions.

Under the U9 Division we will be creating 2 Lightning Teams within the house division. These teams will have the same ice times and registration cost as the Coed teams. In addition, they will look to play exhibition games in and outside of the Comox Valley and attend other Female Tournaments which would have additional travel and tournament fee costs that these teams choose to sign up for.

Under the U11 and U13 Divisions, we will have one Lightning team per division that will play under the VIAHA Island Hockey League. This league will have 12 Games with 6 home and 6 away in addition to 1 ice practice a week and possible exhibition games. Cost to register for this team will be $500 plus travel and any tournaments that these teams choose to sign up for.

Female players in the U11/13 Divisions will have the option to play on both a Coed Team as well as the Female Island League team should they wish to.

The Comox Valley Lightening will be looking for sponsorships and donations to help with affordability for this league so that all girls wanting to play will have the opportunity to.
